I beg to differ. In EVERY previous joint venture, Northern Dynasty retained a 50/50 stake in the Pebble mine. NAK was the one with the property, the big money joint venture partner was happy to get a piece of the action by giving NAK a large initial cash deposit, and then agreeing to pay a certain amount for the work up and building of the mine.

It's true that Northern Dynasty is an exploration company, but that does not mean that they don't also plan to retain the property and the mine that will be built. The mine will be in production for over 200 years, and even a huge payment by another company to buy the property, would be nothing compared to what NAK would make by retaining the deposit and its resulting mine.
