Climate change induced melting of the artic ice cap triggers a shift in the Gulf Stream. The shift is not gradual but discrete and of enough magnitude to cause a new ice age to commence. The new weather pattern begins immediately— it starts snowing across Europe on March 15th, 2019 and doesn’t stop for years.

This originally caught my attention because the Dept of Defense was war gaming it, not because of whatever the movie was that used it as a premise. Did a quick search, didn’t find the original article but this is good enough.

Not taking this too seriously but it has crossed my mind to scout out some mountains/hills in Southern Europe that are currently considered useless for future development as ski resorts!
