I think this is really important if DCvax-Direct is to be a real option for all patients with brain tumors. The problem is of course that DCVax-Direct can create such a potent immune response that any tumor will swell beyond the volumetric capacity of its enclosure, thus creating pressure on other parts of the brain. By first greatly reducing the size of any brain tumor, including previously inoperable ones, improved laser surgery should be able to reduce the cancer to a manageable size such that any immune swelling is manageable.

Looks like Dr. Ashkan (primary investigator in the UK) is a busy and cutting edge guy. Looks like a good option of inoperable brain tumors:
