I lived in Venezuela from 1946 N2 1050. In 1948 We came back to the US, through NYC. Dad bought a car there and we headed home, to Oklahoma.
Our first stop was in NJ for lunch. A strange thing. There was this movie like box on the wall that was showing a bae ball game.
My Dad asked a man when the game had been played. When he said the game was going on, as we watched, we couldn't grasp the concept.
Not only had we never seen TV, we had no idea such a thing existed!
I was 13 when we came home. I lived for "Time For Beanie", Howdy Doody", Smile'n Ed McConnell. Remember "Plunk You Magic twanger, Froggy"?
