1954 'warbox' 900sq ft upstairs, 800sq ft downstairs in the fully finished basement... fully remodled througout, hardwood floors, granite kitchen with high end appliances, blah blah...

but it's not what 'most' people think a $500k house is. Seattle is like L.A. and other 'high market' housing areas. There's simply NO concept of perspective in housing prices. Check out a few real estate sites (Prudential, John L. Scott, etc) in the West Seattle/Seattle area. You'll be stunned.
