Raf, the study would of course test all lipid/lipoprotein changes, but they can directly test for degree of statin absorption between groups, by using an assay such as this:

It would be irrefutable proof.

A number of things can impair statin absorption btw:

Usually you pop supplements with other meds, or drink it down with something like green tea or grapefruit juice, so it makes sense why there is data on those being problematic. But who would ever chase a statin with a gulp of mineral oil? No one. Unless you were enrolled in ANCHOR or R-IT..

That’s why no one in their right mind should hold AMRN shares through an FDA decision on the sNDA. Could be financial suicude if out pops the CRL and request for a small trial to determine if MO blocks statin absorption.
