The way I see it is BP cannot pay too extreme an amount (even if they
thought it was justified) because their shareholders would be angry as
such a deal would be very dilutive. I find any deal over $30 billion
to be way too high ($80 a share.) The only way around that would be
for a group of buyers to form a consortium where each would contribute
a prorata amount to own that share of AMRN. This would insure massive
distribution and economies of scale in that several BP could put up funds
to tie up massive amounts of feedstock. This would allow for a much
faster and far more comprehensive rollout.
