Perhaps go read about the plant details and what China is going to do for Tesla, and what makes this deal special. Pretty sure they are letting them do some things no other auto company has done.

As for the midrange cost M3. This trim is available supposedly in 2 months, at around 5k cars a week that’s an additional 40K cars made before they start building this trim out. That would bring total M3 deliveries somewhere around 150,000 this far. The majority of his preorders are no doubt for the lower trims. He’s right on track, and most likely has 300,000+ cars to make in these lower trims. Don’t talk about the demand being gone if you have no proof that the preorders have dropped so far.
