I agree QB can be a desperate position to fill so teams can get stupid giving out the $$$$.

That being said .............

To give out that size of contract after 7 games that is not wise period. Earn your big contract.
7 games isn't earning that big of a contract.

Maybe he turns into a great QB I don't know.

What I do know is adjustments take place.
Teams look at film make adjustments.

Now once they've had the opportunity to make those adjustments and he is still playing well then give the big contract.

If it costs me more at that time so be it I'd rather pay more then to watch a salary kill your cap for years to come.
