A lot of maybes, but the history and facts simply do not support all those maybes.
Not one single beta tester, and /or OEM field tester, or 20+ sales pipeline has step up to the plate, except for Ganthet and a ISV that have gone nowhere, Fact. BTW that sales pipeline is now over 2 years old so why has it not grown or why haven't they completed sales or have the potential clients decided to go elsewhere?
18 plus years and VLDI still has not commercialized a product, fact.
All the PRs about sales, never materialized except for five license agreements that went nowhere, Fact. Still waiting for global rollout three years later.
No one stated Rafael was an idiot and he does not have his reputation on the line, because he provided enough caveats stating that VP was not the cure all and he would recommended it to clients that had the need for its particular attributes. A company that spends over $50 million dollars in 18+ years and only about $15 M went to R&D and the rest went for sales and marketing without a single on going revenue sale has better chances at being a rinse and repeat than a success.
BTW every time VLDI converted debt, preferred stock or convertible promissory notes to common stock and then that stock was sold they got money from the shareholders who bought that stock. because if they could not sell that stock ( break even or profit) then those holders would have demanded their cash back.
