I think it’s fair to say that selling to local law enforcement agencies and municipalities is not as easy as you say in your post even for a superstar. State LE budgets are tight and it’s very difficult for them to get approval for new technologies and must go through a lengthy process. They just don’t have a meeting, snap their fingers and buy a 200k v-300 the next week.

Federal funding and grants are helping these cash strapped agencies get their hands on items like body cameras, tasers, body armor and simulators but it’s a slow process.

Milo, laser shot, ti training, meggitt and EIS are all vying for similar business. I’m sure they have sales rockstars!! Why aren’t they selling huge sums of UOF simulators? Meggit sells alot single screen FATS simulators for military training with cubic but its based on an old program of record won years ago.

I think it’s pretty clear that these other companies are entering the UOF space because the funding is coming.....it’s not if but when.

Lots of money requested for DHS / border patrol, DOJ, and DOS next year. Waiting on approval.

I agree with some of the things you preach here but not the sales efforts. They’ve put a lot of effort in changing the way LE can and will be trained now and into the future....it’s an educational process thats taken years.

Here’s a snippet from Meggitt who is entering Virtras space and are much larger.

“Meggitt also understands that funding remains a roadblock for many departments and agencies to obtain the training equipment they require. As a way to ease some of the financial burden, Meggitt is proud to partner with PoliceGrantsHelp.com to provide free grant assistance, allowing law enforcement agencies to secure advanced training equipment. Grant assistance is a significant resource for agencies with constricted budgets to secure funding for improved departmental training.
