Dr. Peter Senge (fifth discipline) would describe our human needs and Healthcare systems as being intentionally asynchronous (opposite of Homeostasis). The time based system for financial gains and rewards of the medical system ...BP/Insurance/Devices/Regulatory...etc) are not synched up with the true medical care needs of our society. In fact a good argument can be made for the intentionally built in conflicts of money vs population's well being. For example: "what if some fool developed a cure for cancer?". What will happen to all the hospitals, clinics, Medical staffs, insurance companies, morticians...etc.???
