vern, fact is, I dont know of any electrical engineers that call power plant powered by electricity anything other than a motor. no one, and I mean no one I know in the field calls an electric MOTOR an electic ENGINE. motor is powered by electicity amoungst the pro's, engine is powered by a fuel such as gas or steam. sure you can use it either way when you refer to car engine/motor, but an electric motor called an engine, I dont think so, your the first and you cant even admit the mistake.
