We talked about the Utopya Odyssey computer animated phone being a UmiDigi S2 Lite model back when Utopya put out their youtube video.
Thanks to the pictures being added to the Utopya website today we now know for sure that the Utopya Odyssey is indeed the UmiDigi S2 Lite phone
https://www.utopya.co
http://www.umidigi.com/page-umidigi_s2lite_activity.html
So obviously the idea here (assuming Utopya has the money to make it happen) is to order a bunch of UmiDigi S2 Lite phones to be rebranded as Utopya Odyssey phones with alleged adjustments to some of the software and a little bump to the ROM.
The normal UmiDigi S2 Lite specs are as follows: 4G Phone - 4GB RAM, 32GB ROM, Face ID, 5100mAh Battery, 16.0MP Dual Camera
And the Utopya Odyssey version is being advertised as follows: 4G Phone - 4GB RAM, 192GB ROM, Face ID, 4950mAh Battery, 16.0MP Dual Camera
The 192GB ROM part is very odd. Usually phones come in increments of 32GB; 64GB; 128GB; 256GB. I assume they are just adding memory chips to the phone to up it from the basic 32GB model that UmiDigi makes.
So now that we know it is a UmiDigi S2 Lite Phone we can shop for them online and find them for as low as $139

Also knowing it is an UmiDigi S2 Lite phone we can look up reviews about the phone and see how reliable the hardware is.
I found a lot of mixed reviews but two very common criticisms were the poor camera images and the battery not being as good as advertised. The issue with the battery is mainly because the UmiDigi S2 Lite uses a very crappy Mediatek processor.
Going through youtube reviews and online articles I repeatedly read comments calling UmiDigi a liar because their phones always perform worse than promised and in many cases they teased better specs than what ultimately ended up in the phone.
The following youtube review I found especially interesting because it talked about how UmiDigi had previously tried to sell a waterproof phone that turned out not to be waterproof. It made me wonder if the Utopya team was also looking to UmiDigi when they were trying to create the Comet Core Inc waterproof phone.
I suppose you get what you pay for and it might be a decent phone for the price, but call me far from impressed. Especially after reading lots of negative reviews about the UmiDigi hardware.
At least now we know more about the Utopya phone. It is a UmiDigi S2 Lite phone rebranded by Utopya that will allegedly have some kind of software added to it by the Utopya team.
I'm very skeptical that the Utopya software will be able to wow customers enough to get them to want to pay 50%+ more for a Utopya Odyssey phone instead of just buying it from UmiDigi.
I'm also still very skeptical about pretty much everything Utopya says (including their ability to have the phones manufactured and brought to market) after Utopya lied repeated for months to run a pump and dump on the ANDI share price.
