It's exactly because WMB went poof ghondi that the NOL was born. It has nothing to do with bondholders getting paid or not.

P.S. I only have 4 posts left for today and so I have to preserve my posts and not wasting on silly thing like "the NOL will go away" or "zillions of WMIH shares will be printed" theories.

I combine my answers in one post to preserve the post.

The exact number of shares is not known until the last minutes because we don't know how many NSM SH will cash out at $18 per share for instance. There is no conspiracy theory behind this.

And I post the reality of what will likely to happen based on court order and laws and not based on what I wish will happen. Like I wish to win the lottery.
