Yes, there're only two possible scenarios.
1. It was a fake PR. Like you, I very much doubt it was the work of the Carlos guy. He was pretty thoroughly outed back in December.
2. It was a real PR, and AEXE thought better of it and killed it, perhaps because FINRA gave them a buzz.
How does the CEO normally write? His name is J. R. (Bob) Todhunter. Sounds like a native English speaker, but today's PR appears not to have been written by one:
AIM Exploration (the "Company"), an SEC reporting public company listed as (OTC PINK:AEXE), announces today that it has began phase 1 to research and develop cryptocurrency coal coin. Company cancels reverse split to increase shareholders value and to gain confidence of its shareholders.
"Has began"?? Ouch. And the rest is just awkward. Its lack of indefinite articles is vaguely Russian.
So I dunno...
