I don't really like to interrupt the nice disagreement you two are having but fwiw I think you are both right. Look at this statement:

In that case it's not a biomarker.

But then look at a disease (like Alz) whereby insomnia may be a characteristic of pre-Alz lets say. That would make it a biomarker would it not?

No I'm not copping out.
