If everything works fine except a browser, DON'T do a restore because it's not your computer and that would be like dragging your bed outside to change the sheets.

One thing to try with any browsers is find it's preference edits and try to set that browser to it's total default-factory setting. Not your computer.

There's also temp folders all over the computers hard drives that sometimes has exe. files in them.

This problem should be attacked at the browser level, not machine.
