Re: Stock Ticker and Alarm Software................

After several frustrating days without NetStock, I downloaded Stock Market Eye and added all my ticker symbols and buy/sell alarms. It was easy (except for the total number of tickers I follow). There's a 30 day free trial and the One Time cost is about $100.

It seems to work nicely and gives you a nice chart of the length you choose for the symbols. There are little alarm bells showing on each stock symbol to which you add alarms. It changes color when an alarm trigger is reached. In the list of WatchLists (assuming you have more than one) it will show there's an alarm in any particular Watchlist. Then all you need to do is highlight that watchlist to see which ticker is sounding the alarm.

You can add a "compare to" ticker to any chart you're observing to get a feel for how Stock A is performing compared to Stock B for any given time frame.

Its graph shows when dividends have been paid and how much. If there's no dividend, there's no indicator.

You can have as many different watchlists as you want. Name each differently and you will know what it is you're seeking. For any watchlist, you can choose to view "Prices" or "Fundamentals." Prices is pretty straight forward with price, day change, volume etc. In Fundamentals view you can add a lot of extra columns to watch a variety of potential information. In the free trial version so far it's not updating yield, book value, P/E and several other categories. So, I can't tell if this is a problem with the Yahoo and/or Google feeds or if it's just that the free trial copy doesn't enable these things.

In any case, it does everything NetStock did and has some other nice features. If you hover your pointer over the stock in question, it will show you your alarm points for instance. So, you don't have to click on things to see the trigger points.

Lastly, it appears there's APPs for both i-Phone and Android telephones. It appears that once you buy the product, you can run it on your computer and also on your phone. I'm not sure of this as I don't have a new enough phone to give it a try. smile

Hope this helps,

Best regards,
