Hi Tom, I looked at your link: https://www.stockmarketeye.com/tour and then went to their blog where they say:

Quote Issues Due To Changes At Yahoo Finance
Thursday, Nov. 2nd 2017

Unfortunately, Yahoo Finance has decided to discontinue the main outlet that StockMarketEye and many other 3rd party financial apps use to get current stock quotes.

This change has primarily affected the fundamental quotes on the desktop application (v4), as well as all quotes in the iOS and Android versions of StockMarketEye. Desktop versions of StockMarketEye older than v4 (i.e. 3.3.14, 2.9.9, etc) are also not receiving any quotes.

The reasoning behind this change from Yahoo Finance is:

“It has come to our attention that this service is being used in violation of the Yahoo Terms of Service. As such, the service is being discontinued. For all future markets and equities data research, please refer to finance.yahoo.com.”

You can read this statement as well as many user’s comments on this abrupt service disruption on the Yahoo forum.

Are they able to update your quotes? I didn't see anything that says they can.

On another front I found Market Wizard (https://www.market-wizard.com.au/), a stock market simulation web site based in Australia that could be used for tracking your basket and they say:

Market Wizard is fully operational again
We are back on track again!

The week before last Yahoo terminated their live stock quote API without notice and this left Market Wizard high and dry. I've since sourced a new API and converted Market Wizard over to it. Initially there were a few companies missing from the data I worked with the provider and we fixed those during the week.

A knock on effect of the terminated API was that portfolio values weren't being recorded for the past week. That's rectified now and you can again check your portfolio value in Market Wizard.

I'm sorry if these problems have impacted your trading.

I haven't played with it enough to truly understand what they are up to but maybe you, and others here, might want to take a look and see if it meet their needs and report back here.

Best,

Allen

Hi Tom, Not Okay,
I wonder why it was okay for all these programs to dial in to the data for all these years, then now it isn't? Wonder if Verizon take over had anything to do with it? I can set high/low parameters at my broker, and get an alert on my cell phone... But it sounds like Net Stock was a real time tracker too during market hours, plus other features I'm sure... Best regards, Ken
