An appeal has to go before a judge, unless the two parties settle out of court. Courts are backed up so I don't think it will be fast as you stated. But, that is your opinion, not facts that can be proved. It can take years for MAXD to exhaust it's available appeals, each one must be filed and put on a list for a court date to be heard by a judge. Nothing fast about that.
On a good note, MAXD doesn't have to pay until their appeals have been either accepted or rejected, plus interest for the appeal time if they loose.
I am hoping they can manage to get some business from this Qualcomm event they are going to so the share price may rise. But, we've been down this road before as stated in the SEC filings.
