There are many companies that list on major exchanges with out having profit or revenue so I don't know where you are getting that idea from... Snapchat is a great example of a Nasdaq listed company that has never made a profit... As for no revenue companies just start looking at early stages Biotechs listed on Nasdaq, NYSE, etc etc there are tons of them...
