By licensing the product to an Intel/NSM/etc, Wave removes itself from being able to report these numbers by virtue of the fact that their partners (as Steven said) have total control over how many, when, and more importantly, when to release that information to the public.

In other words, if a standard OEM agreement (as Steven stated) is in place, it would give total control to the finished goods provider (in this case the the OEMs), and Wave would not be allowed to release numbers relating to that company's deployments until that company allowed them to do so.

However, that doesn't preclude Steven from having a pretty good idea of what's being planned behind the scenes. Because, like Steven said (which I thought was most telling of all) if it's a standard OEM agreement, then it likely has a standard ramp-up, cycle-time and deployment rollout schedule already defined. At least for the early months. I see no reason why someone like Steven wouldn't be able to know that already.

We'll just have to wait until we're allowed to know.
