At least this gets the discussion back to PLUG - other posts in danger of being off topic!

And how much time would you need to license a market ready MEA technology memebrane-less fuel cell technology to someone say a Ballard or another PLUG competitor or even PLUG?

A company like PLUG that has a $100m+ revenue business based on its proven reliable fuel cells is going to be very hard to convince that it is economically viable to include new fuel cells.

The big issue I see with the alternative technology is that you need a method of recycling the fuel - with PLUG fuel cells the only thing left is water which is discharge as vapor or may be a small amount to be drained when recharging with Hydrogen.

With a Formic Acid cell (or syngas) there is discharged fuel to be collected and returned to the fuel supplier for recharging.

PLUG are committed to hydrogen as are mast major players in this space.

So any discussion on how this alternative technology is taken to market should be down on its message board which will be closed after today!

When there is a Spectrum Global Solutions board I will take this up there.
