number of shares is a big deal. if i have 100 dollars and divide it to 100 shares thats a dollar per share. now if you have 100 dollars divided to 1000 shares you are at 10 cents a share. so when a company has 20 billion shares, they have to make ALOT of money for that to raise the PPS very much. as in. 20 billion shares you would need 20 billion dollars to be worth a dollar per share. 2 billion for 10 cents. Of course there are some other factors involved, but this is the basic formula.
