Hello kevin_s5 I believe Intels COO stated that La Grande would be included in future processors and at that time Prescott was named (red_beard is this even possible?). I find however the proposed Oct / Nov 2003 time frame of Prescott with La Grande security hardware corresponding with the proposed Oct / Nov Wave Systems security software inclusion tantilizing. Prescott already has a successor chip named so who knows what that will include -- until perhaps 1) ASM or 2) September IDF or 3) Oct/Nov rolls around. Would Intel be interested in sending Transmeta a very clear signal about the Trusted Computing Space? It is still accurate to say "The deal calls for Intel to use Wave's Embassy trusted computing software" and have that in fact be the embassy executive firmware (secure os sofwtare). Is there a more elegant solution than embassy executive firmware? All we know for sure is what we knew yesterday... wavx has something that Intel finds compelling. we also know a new process introduced by Intel to correspond with Prescott allows a greater yield on chips then previously possible... lends more credibility of "ramping up pretty fast" (may be paraphrased)... in any event I like everything I see out there and the fact no one else appears to be in wavx's "space"... P.S. I appreciate each and everyone that has constructive "corrections" to add to ANY thing I say... because gawd knows... this thing is HUGE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kindest Regards, C2
