Do you know anything about a Delaware company called TransPerfect? It seems it's profitable, but the courts have ordered a forced sale because the owners--who were engaged to be married--can't get along. This is the outline of the story:
What's odd is that TransPerfect workers have been running an ad campaign on and off for months to stop the sale. I just saw another one:
“We’re taking to the airwaves because we want to make sure folks understand just what’s at stake for thousands of workers and their families, and what’s at stake for Delaware’s economic competitiveness,” said Chris Coffey, who is managing the campaign for the group.
Far as I can tell, they don't employ thousands of people in Delaware, so what's it got to do with "Delaware's competitiveness"? Its headquarters are in New York.
