We did have to register with DUNS, but I bet STI is already registered with them.
That was really the only hoop we had to jump through.
NASA did give us a 100+ page questionnaire, detailing our activities in the aerospace industry, but we found out we were exempt from completing that since we were just a novelty company.

So you see working with the government isn't quite as hard as you are making it out to be.
Besides, as was brought out on this board earlier today, SFOR's ACS has been working with DOD for 25 years or so.
