There is a stickie that mentions an acquaintance who attended. Otiko was in a room with about 20 other abstract poster presenters. He offered product samples to interested persons. He was not a speaker.

The product Otiko used in his abstract is available from at least one other competitor business under a different brand name. In a nearly identical formulation, Diabecline won an award in 2012 (see ibox table comparing Diabecline and Viabecline).

The underlying transdermal delivery system is patent-pending (Phillips/Keough). Otiko has a non-exclusive license to market and distribute Viabecline which is based on this system.
