This is not off topic, stick with me here.
This past weekend was the world's largest Halloween & Haunted Attraction Trade Show, held in St. Louis, Missouri. http://www.haashow.com/
Keep in mind, the show is invitation only. You have to prove you are part of the Halloween Industry (haunt owner, store owner, etc) to get invited to buy so as to minimize "gawker traffic" and so stores can sell at a mark up.
Over the weekend you could get live feeds, up to date info, photos, videos, information about every vendor, the location of their booth, interviews with the owners. All of this for an invite only event.
This show, this industry, wants to sell, and they use social media to stir up interest and get haunted attraction owners and stores like Spirit Halloween to request permission to come from all over the world to purchase products for the coming Halloween season.
Why did DFCON not do anything like this? Where are the live streams, the invterviews? Not just Otiko, the conference/convention itself?
Why have we not seen Youtube videos? Why is there so few photos, etc?
I have spoken at conferences/conventions. While speaking, an official conference photographer slips in and gets photos and video of your lecture for their advertising. Why not at DFCON?
All products come down to desire to sell and desire to buy. Why is DFCON not creating a buzz so that doctors want to attend next year?
"We're having this great show... and we're going to make sure it has a media black out... enjoy!!".
Doesn't make sense. Please, not just Otiko, get us video of the presentations and conference.
Thanks, Jim
