It used the chemotherapy drug decitabine and reprogrammed t cells. The t cells were reprogrammed with a gene targeting New York esophageal squamous carcinoma (NY-ESO-1).

However, in this study published in the summer of this year, they did use the DC vaccine with a PD-1 mAb blockade (like BMY's Opdivo).
