Obviously nobody understand real estate here. One must look at it like the Nasdaq issue.
Assuming a mortgage payment for August is missed. It is typically due anytime in the month, could be due on the 1st, 15th or 30th, who knows. Then there is a grace period of 15 days. Then if it isn't paid a late fee is levied and other than that nothing happens. A notice of foreclosure can take months.
N payment can be made for months. Then a work out can be negotiated and/or a modification if applicable. So the bottom line just as the Nasdaq delisting can take 6-12 months so can the bank.
