Found this Reddit post on MM activity. It's fairly old and I believe it has been floating around the interwebs for a while but it's still relevant. It's also a pretty long read but definitely very interesting. I will sum it up a little bit for anyone that doesn't want to read the whole thing but I highly suggest just reading the post as my summary won't get into all the details.

It basically gives some of the MM tactics to move the market and explains how they end up with substantial short positions even if they don't want them. It then talks about how they cover their short positions, again different tactics they use. The OTC BB MMs do not care about fundamentals, only about momentum. They refer to traders as "dumb money" and use this to their advantage to cover their positions. The influx of short term traders in any stock only leads to an increase in MM manipulation. Their tactics work 9 time out of 10 due to the fact that most OTC BB stocks are garbage. The time they get screwed is when there are long term investors in a particular stock, as the MM doesn't care about fundamentals, nor do they do any research into the companies, they do not expect people to go long. The buying, holding, and accumulating of shares basically renders the MM tactics useless. It even talks about how when the price dibs to the point of longs buying more it messes with the MMs even more because they aren't able to get a good fill.

I don't think it takes a genius to know that we potentially have that 1 out of 10 here in $TPIV. Like most here, I am buying dips, and holding my shares tight. I want that float locked by long term holders so we can all watch the traders fight for shares and chase the price up like a bunch of suckers.
