Nice to have an additional opinion on the stolen patent, other than mine (which is based on my own experience) which agrees with this:

"I had a conversation with Mr. Townsend in the US Patent office who is one of their counsels. Call him. He will tell you the same thing. If this patent the boot boys applied for is contested on grounds of theft and being proprietary, they'll not only lose the patent but face criminal charges for fraud and theft. He mentioned "we do honor a code that the inference of impropriety or conflict of interest, we will suspend the patent." Nice guy and reasonable Imo. "
