No that would be inefficient compared to apps especially for growth. Humans have a limited capacity both for the maximum customers they can keep current with or the number of sententious customers they can handle (that's one) while the app can handle a huge number of customers. The application can know the company too because it's connected to the same database the human representative gets the information from. Also the application does not need to provide all of the function but can provide a subset that helps lift some of the weight form the shoulders of the human reps. The app can decrease the need for physical branches while increasing the number of customers the company can serve.
If you really believe that introducing the modern tool called mobile apps is reinventing the wheel then you better discard your phone and use telegram. The world once moved from telegrams to phones in the mainstream, then came faxes, now there's something called mobile apps. It's a necessary movement, a piece of the puzzle that must be added to complete the picture. Customers are the ones who know better so relax and let them decide for themselves.
