COR is evidently trying to figure out where the Nobilis, Beaufort and Macallan stock went when it was sold into the market.
If they want a full picture, they'll need information from all of the 67 clearing firms that dealt in CRGP stock during the relevant period. Is it even possible for them to get that information if those firms don't feel like cooperating? Etrade Clearing and NFS (Fidelity) didn't bother to respond to the subpoenae sent to them, and so COR filed a motion to compel in both cases. As to NFS, they dismissed voluntarily last Friday. Why?
And how many other subpoenae did they send? We know about the one to IHub. It doesn't seek the same kind of information, but its content is similar to the Etrade and NFS subpoenae. No motion to compel was filed against IHub, because IHub formally objected. Did other recipients object?
And would any judge order the clearing firms to comply?
