The goal is usually to get the company to settle. I've seen cases where the company wasn't served for months. Most companies settle just to make it go away.

I'm watching another where the company has chosen to fight. What I'm waiting for is to see if the court sanctions the attorney for filing a frivolous lawsuit without proper due diligence. I expect the case to be thrown out of court. The lawsuit is using an inaccurate SA article for it's basis.

Lawyers do that to see what kind of feedback to going to get most of these cases open like this don't go nowhere the papers and never served .
