I like to throw this out there. I feel that this is a very important point that has been over looked.

Alstom/Mantra deal. As it has been pointed out so so many times Mantra only works for Alstom they don't have a business partnership.

Yet.......

Alstom did not hire Mantra to work on an Alstom's project. Alstrom hired Mantra to work on a Mantra's project.

Think about that for a minute.

What would drive a company to hire another company to improve technology they don't even own?

Add to that, if the company you hired comes up with a new IP on it's own while you are footing the bill they get to keep ownership of that new IP.
