I bought an external hd...

and plugged it in a while back. I don't know how to back up.

I recall doing something to that extent when you helped me switchover to W7.

I've been getting a white flag forever in the tray with a red cross on it. It tells me Windows can't find the disk or network where my backups are being saved.
