Rays have pitching depth up the ying yang compared to the yanks and redsox developing in the minor leagues.

What they have done with a starter going down to AAA to get into relief role and bringing up another 23 year old changing him from starter to relief they on the right track.

With the offense they have if they can fill out these role players the way I see them doing all they will need is a lead by 5th inning then shut them down after that with pitching.

Both these pitchers who were projected for starting pitching McClung and Jackson can shut you down for 4 innings.
It's after that they get in trouble.

Only time will tell about being competitive.

My bet is on the Rays surprising a lot of you.

Been watching their every move now for years.
