The best one is to remove the federal government from the school system and privatize all schools. Idiots such as those who implemented this zero tolerance nonsense would be quickly weeded out and looking for new jobs.

Catholic schools (and probably most other private schools) also have zero tolerance rules. It would not have been any different in a private school in this case.
