actually, that's an important general point. is there a single wave adherent who has a broad enough skillset in network security to offer a robust independent judgment about its value?

looks to me like there are a number of folks without any particular experience in security technology who somehow start with an ironclad belief in tc and then invest years trying to confirm it by mastering the detail.

whereas a bean-counter thinks, why waste my time on that when i can count the income? that will tell me if the technology is valuable better than any amount of time spent in deep study of the theory of tc.
