If there are more shares being sold by the company (a/s turning into o/s) then that allows us (the public) to buy more shares, hence drive the volume and price of the stock up since there is more for us to acquire and have more ownership of the company right? I mean if the company is selling some of its shares to the public, then that is to generate cash to help the company grow. So I guess we are all just worried about the short term with this increase to o/s, because long term the company generates money from us to make its revenue and turn a profit to create a greater return for us right?
