Straight. I beg to differ. The range of the DECT phone is what 2 miles (as per the session today? Anyone confirm/deny?) hardly a reason in a large metro area to carry around your DECT phone in place of a mobile.
What people need is really available now in a sense. You have your mobile on, on the way to work; you get to work and switch it so that mobile calls now route to your VoIP phone and vice-a-versa when you leave. This is capable now. The services Globetel will be offering, imvho, will be compliments to Mobiles etc. at a lower rate for customers. In addition, mobile companies own satellites now and/or lease usage which is very expensive, they can really cut their costs buying time/services from a Strat and recoup loses from lowered customer rates. Just my opinion. If I was a Verizon or AT&T I'd be knocking on GTE's door and or investing.
