The fine print of Warranty Law is trumped completely by the common sense application of the Warranty Practice at any dealership: Ford, Chrysler, Dodge or Tesla dealerships will all react the same way when a Tuned up Version of their OEM vehicle shows up in the service department. High Performance comes with a price tag to the consumer. You want to push 500, 600, 700 HP out of an OEM vehicle designed to operate at less than (400)HP and parts will fail before the warranty period ends. Maybe on the first day.
No Dealership or OEM is going to foot the bill for a guy looking for high performance. As mentioned by Carvincrank and Author Frederic, the dealer will charge for evaluating the Tuned car and the customer will have to pay. Just try quoting the Warranty Law when the tow truck driver is dropping your Tuned Saleen in their lot. The car is not going anywhere until you sign that you will pay for the work being performed by the dealership. If you do not pay, you will not be driving your car off the lot.
