Montana ..One of my concerns was that they did not require HDL below 40 to be in RI .
Dr Nissens STRENGTH trial requires HDL under 40 .

Poster James ( an MD ) reports that most diabetics have HDL under 40 with TG over 200 ...so about 40% of those in RI should have that profile.
IMHO if they had required everyone to have HLD under 40 with TG over 200 and LDL under 100....from day 1 ...it would have taken longer to enroll ( and get to the pt where they could have submitted for Anchor ) ......but it would have increased the chances of showing high enough benefit to halt the trial at interim.

In all other TG lower trials ...the subgroup with low HDL /High TG always showed the most benefit.
