Well pretty much incorrect.

Most dealership do own their demo vehicles with the Mfg Plates, but it not uncommon for them to use those plates when they take a customer's car out for a spin. If the get a speeding or parking ticket it get's mailed to the dealership or Mfg rather than the customers home. How would you like it if you left your high performance vehicle at a dealership and 30 days later a ticket showed up in your mailbox?

Not true at all. I have owned MANY vehicles from several different brands and they don't stick there dealer plate to take my plate out for a spin. They have there own liability insurance specifically if anything happens while they are driving a customers car.

They are taken off at the shows and traded for
Saleen branded (Black) cardboard inserts. The license plates on the photographs have nothing to do with ownership of the vehicle.

The Saleen branded plates are plastic not cardboard. No prrof the the MFG plate has nothing to do with the ownership of the Tesla.
