You make some very solid points. I agree with you completely about the resistence found in areas with an established grid of connectivity already in place, and the possibility of new contracts in areas with geographical limitations posing problems for any other system to be put in place. But I still feel, being that WIMAX is just begining to emerge in the U.S., I see no reason for GTE not to be going after these contracts. 700 billion or 300 billion cap; whatever, at this point I would be happy to hear GTE snage a contract for a couple 100 million here and there.


Just some possibilities once they get the stratellite operational.

Think about California: EARTHQUAKES!! How many towers fall or are disrupted during small seismic activity. They more than anyone seem poised to benefit from GTE's technologies.

Think about disaster areas such as New Orleans, unable to have any kind of communication system re-established.

But once again, Thank You Trashboy for enlightening the areas where the bulbs have burned out.
