Editors Select 60 Winners Based On Performance, Value, Consistency,
And Innovation

SAN FRANCISCO, June 4 /PRNewswire/ -- PC World, the most widely-read
technology or business magazine, unveiled the winners of its 21st World Class
Awards yesterday. The July 2003 issue features the finest products and
services of the last year, from application suites to wireless phones, from
ABS to ZoneAlarm. The article will be on newsstands June 17, and is now
available at http://www.pcworld.com/reviews/article/0,aid,110653,pg,1,00.asp.
This year has seen a trend towards wireless connectivity -- the 2003
Product of the Year is the T-Mobile Sidekick. Editors tout this "hiptop" as
" ... the first wireless gadget that feels capable of putting the Web in your
pocket." Highlights include new categories such as "Best Tablet PC" and "Best
Photo Management Software," underscoring on-the-go connectivity and the
popularity of digital photography. Also noteworthy is the choice of Mozilla
1.3 for "Best Web Browser" -- capable of blocking pop-ups with a built-in tool
and managing passwords site-by-site. One of the more unique choices is
OddPost for "Best Web-Based E-Mail Service," an interesting product that's
relatively unknown and distinctive.
The complete list of winners follows: the best of the best in hardware,
software, Web sites, and services that rise above the competition. Each
winner is a mix of top performance and good value from a reliable
manufacturer.
