So I just stumbled across this

This method of producing lqmt parts looks pretty amazing! Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is the method that is patented by Johnson I believe.

"But the ability to conduct such thermoplastic processing in open air over millisecond timescales using shaping pressures comparable to those used in the processing of plastics, and at temperatures below typical tempering temperatures for conventional tooling, as demonstrated here, represents a significant technological leap forward."
